APPLAUSE « Maynards Market & Kitchen

We have the pleasure of serving wonderful people on a daily basis. We are inspired by, and grateful for, the time many of our customers take to communicate their experiences to us! Here are some responses we’d like to share with you …

I have lived in Tucson many years and Maynards is always the place I take out of town guests to show off Tucson. Maynards is a trip back into elegant time. The decor takes you back as do the wonderful vintage cocktails. The food is excellent. I always order mussels, pomme frittes, the pizza and the fish of the day. I am never disappointed. The service is excellent and the owners are almost always on the premises to warmly greet their patrons. I love the ambiance, the food and the friendly staff. Everyone I have ever taken to Maynards has requested a second visit when they are back in town. It does not get better than this.

I would like to thank you for putting the “wow” in our anniversary lunch celebration for the U.S. Meat Export Federation team at Maynard’s on Tuesday.  Our group was comprised of extreme foodies from Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico City, Lima, London, Moscow, Beijing, Seoul, Denver, Sacramento and San Antonio.  Every one of our guests was blown away at the quality and creativity of Chef Addam’s menu selections and Chef Ryan’s execution.  The pork belly Caesar salad was a big hit and the sous vide Certified Angus Beef® strip was cooked to perfection.  The team is still talking about the richly-flavored cinnamon ice cream and pumpkin flan.  Thank you for exceeding my expectations and making our celebratory meal so memorable. …”

Warm regards,
Maggie O’Quinn

I stumbled into this place on a recent business trip and will seriously consider a return to Tucson just to dine here again. Glass for glass one of the best wine lists in an American restaurant I’ve visited to date, and that is not to mention the esoteric bottle selection that caught me completely off guard. I may be biased, as their Somm- Lars – was a fellow Londoner at one point. This guy has clearly done his homework, and was a pleasure to talk with about their list. I ended up with their bouillabaisse paired with a Furmint and the filet with a Les Petite Roches by Charles Joguet…. Who offers these wines by the glass?! Good food, phenomenal wine, great experience.
